Pekalongan – Three young men were seriously injured on Monday (23/3/2026) when a homemade jumbo firecracker exploded while they were assembling it inside a banana plantation in Kuripan Kidul, Pekalongan.
The blast left the victims with severe burns covering almost their entire bodies, with two suffering critical damage to their hands and facing possible permanent disability. Locals rushed them to hospital for emergency treatment.
Pekalongan City Police confirmed the serious condition of the three young men and warned against the dangers of handling illegal firecrackers.
