George Waterfield Russell Jr., infamously known as The Charmer, terrorized Washington State in the late 1980s with his gruesome and sadistic murders. Born in April 1958, Russell was responsible for the brutal slayings of at least three women, earning his place among America’s most depraved serial killers.
Russell’s crimes were marked by disturbing levels of violence and post-mortem manipulation. His victims were not only murdered but also subjected to grotesque staging. In one particularly heinous act, he left a victim with a shotgun inserted into her body—a chilling display of his twisted psychology. His pattern included sexually assaulting victims after death and arranging their corpses in disturbing positions.

However, the truth behind his persona was revealed when authorities finally caught him, ending his reign of terror. In 1991, Russell was convicted and sentenced to two life sentences, ensuring he would never harm another person again.
