Locals in the eastern area of Manaus found the dismembered body of an unknown man in an open-air garbage dump on the morning of Friday, February 28, 2025. The discovery was made after people spotted the victim’s head amidst the trash, and other body parts were located in a fiber bag nearby. The authorities were informed promptly, and the location was secured for forensic experts and the Medical-Legal Institute (IML) to arrive.
The victim, a man aged between 25 and 30 with a medium complexion and a short beard, is yet to be identified. Some witnesses mentioned seeing the man collecting bones from a nearby supermarket known for its charitable activities, but his identity remains a mystery.
