28-Year-Old Woman Severely Injured in Domestic Violence Incident in Panzós, Alta Verapaz – Guatemala
A 28-year-old woman from Panzós, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, was left critically injured after a violent altercation with her husband. She sustained deep cuts to her shoulder and head, believed to have been inflicted with a machete. One of the wounds on the back of her neck was particularly severe, narrowly missing a fatal outcome. Despite the severity of her injuries, the woman remained calm, showing no visible signs of pain. Her husband, after attacking her, attempted suicide but was unsuccessful and has since been hospitalized for emergency treatment.
