A 42-year-old mechanic named Ozéias Nunes dos Santos died instantly on Wednesday afternoon (May 6, 2026) after losing control of an ATV he was testing on Avenida Leste-Oeste in the Pirambu neighborhood of Fortaleza.
According to police, Santos attempted to overtake a motorcycle and collided with a pole while returning to the right lane. SAMU responders confirmed the death at the scene. The victim, a motorcycle mechanic and father of four, had his body taken to the Pefoce forensic institute. The ATV was seized by the 7th District Police for investigation.
