In Florencio Varela, four hitmen from the “banda de los Paisa” opened fire with a machine gun from a gray Volkswagen Suran, killing Ariel Macchi, 28, and Franco Javier Herrera, 23, by mistake while targeting a supposed drug bunker. A third man, Sebastián Ortiz, 25, was seriously wounded. Around 200 neighbors later stormed and fully burned the house. In the chaos, Cintia Caballero, 30, was stabbed to death by protesters; her partner was also severely attacked.
