Ghana: 34-Year-Old Man Kills Prostitute in Self-Defense after Alleged Robbery Attempt
A 34-year-old man in Ghana had a night of drinking and intimacy with a prostitute. Upon waking up in the night to use the bathroom, he discovered her stealing money from his wallet. An altercation broke out between them, escalating when the woman went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and purportedly tried to harm him. During the scuffle, the man disarmed her and unintentionally fatally wounded her with the knife. The woman, unclothed during the incident, passed away on the floor.
After the event, the man visited a local mental health facility and disclosed the woman’s death. The staff at the facility recommended that he inform the authorities, which he did. He has subsequently been taken into custody and accused of murder.
