A woman was slashed and seriously injured in a dispute between street vendors
A heated argument between a man selling chicken legs and a woman buying pancakes escalated into extreme violence. The man, upset over a 10-yuan shortfall in delivered gas and the woman’s refusal to cover it, argued with her about saving money. After she claimed she hadn’t opened the stall and couldn’t pay, insults flew. The woman felt uneasy, leading to an on-site confrontation.
En route, the man grabbed a hammer from a hardware store intending to strike her, but the owner intervened. The woman continued cursing at an intersection. Furious, the man returned home, retrieved a bone-chopping chopper, and attacked. A delivery worker briefly intervened, but the man stabbed the woman once, then returned twice more in rage. She collapsed immediately.
