A lawyer was shot and killed inside a restobar in San Martín de Porres, district of San José, Pacasmayo province, La Libertad region, on the afternoon of August 15, 2026. Helenn Giulianna Silva Padilla was at Pikeitos restobar on the Panamericana highway when a helmeted man approached from behind around 5:55 p.m. and fired multiple shots at close range. She was with three other people. The attacker fled on a motorcycle with an accomplice. The victim was taken to Tomás Lafora Hospital, where her death was confirmed. Police are investigating the motive.
