A 64-year-old woman died after being struck by a dump truck in Ajax on Saturday afternoon. Durham Regional Police responded to the collision near Hunt Street and Harwood Avenue S. around 3:50 p.m. The dump truck was turning right onto Hunt Street when it hit the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
