Farmer Attacked and Killed by Lioness in Rajkot, Gujarat: Intense Rescue Effort Follows
In a startling incident in Rajkot, Gujarat, India, a farmer known as Manga B. was tragically mauled to death by a lioness while he was working in his field. The vicious assault took place when the lioness suddenly appeared and leaped at the unsuspecting farmer, biting into his abdomen in a fatal attack. Despite his frantic attempts to defend himself, Manga succumbed to the severe injuries inflicted by the wild animal.
The tragedy continued as a team from the forest department reached the site and found the lioness perched on top of the farmer’s motionless body, refusing to budge. The creature’s hostile behavior left officials with no option but to orchestrate a complex operation to recover the deceased. Heavy equipment such as an earthmover and a tractor was used to intimidate the lioness away from Manga’s remains.
