A fatal mishap claimed the life of a 23-year-old youth at Sora Ching Wangma near Sora High School along Imphal-Moreh highway in Kakching district on June 3. The victim, identified as Md Warish, son of Md Amu of Sora Karachi, died on the spot after his two-wheeler (R15) collided head-on with a car (i10) around 2:40 pm. The car was driven by Thokchom Sanatomba, a Rifleman of 11th IRB. Police registered a case at Kakching police station and deposited the body at JNIMS morgue.
